Solar System
Our solar system is made up from one star (our sun) and 8 planet 4 of them are terrestrial and the other 4 are gas giants. Each planet is orbiting the sun, the longer the orbit the longer is the year of that planet if the orbit is smaller its year is smaller as well. The Sun
Our sun the Star of our Solar system. It gives us light and heat, without the sun we would all freeze or starve to death. The sun is reallly hot and its surface temperature is about 5500 degrees celcius which is hotter than the Earths core.
Mercury
Mercury is the first closest planet to our sun and its the smallest planet in the solar system but it isn’t the hottest. Even though it’s the closest planet it doesn’t have an atmosphere that would trap all the heat. Mercury’s terrain is rocky and has many creators since he has no atmosphere to protect the planet from any celestial bodies.
Venus
Venus is the second closest planet to the the sun and it is also the hottest. Venus is the hottest planet because it has a really thick atmosphere which is made from carbon dioxide and molecular nitrogen. Venuses surface temperture is 465 degrees celcius.
Earth
Earth is the third planet and is the only planet that can support life. Earth is also the only planet with liquid water in our solar system. The Earth core has a temperature of about 4400 degrees celcius.
